It’s the biggest question new affiliates and distributors all have. You have it too. Am I Right?
It’s a simple concept.
Most of us know that we need to create leads to give us more opportunities to present our opportunity to.
But where do we actually go that’s not awkward or overly costly to us? And where are the places that present us a continual influx of new people to meet and strike up conversations with?
When I first began in network marketing years ago, I pondered this dilemma for hours and days at a time.
It wasn’t until I actually made myself get out there, walk around and talk to others, that I discovered where the greatest “social gathering” hot-spots are and how to plug myself into them.
I remember (after being virtually shot down by friends and family for joining “one them pyramid thingies”) how utterly deflated and unmotivated I felt.
And this theme is reiterated again and again by every network marketer out here – but it still holds true…
You have to learn the social-relational skills necessary to simply meet people first…Then you can become friends/colleagues with them, find out if they want more out of life, and eventually show them what you do.
I even originally (and wrongly) thought I knew all those communication and social skills well-enough, but I just didn’t know WHERE they were all hanging out.
Now, I couldn’t have been more wrong at the time, but at least I was still confident after my “warm market shootdown” to continue onward with building my business.

The first step is developing your social skills to comfortably get into conversations and get to know people, but even before we do that first step, we need to know where we’re going to actually go to meet all of these beautiful people that we intend to talk to.

Bonus: Here’s a bonus heads-up place to meet people that you may have thought about, but never really given credence to until now: When you’re in line anywhere – at the grocery store, movie theater, getting tickets, at a coffee shop, etc. Now, this can be more challenging, but once you get comfortable starting conversations with complete strangers, this is a never-ending source of places to meet people and leads to talk to.
